Previously Perch Credit, Altro is a credit-building platform that maximizes the value of your subscriptions. With a dynamic market entrance characterized by a seed investment and a public endorsement from Jay-Z's Marcy Ventures, the company faced the challenge of establishing a brand capable of resonating with and meeting the expectations of the 150,000 individuals eagerly waiting to join its waitlist.
Solution
After their Series A round, I collaborated with a team to institute a comprehensive rebranding initiative encompassing a new name, logo mark, website, launch strategy, and an ongoing go-to-market approach. The team brought the brand to life through a manifesto video, user-centric audio stories, and the vision of the team and photographer Maya Iman, capturing the strength and unity of Altro's community. In early 2022, Perch transformed into Altro, emerging as a bold, people-focused, and empowering brand with a mission to democratize financial empowerment.
Outcome
Investors pinpointed this endeavor as a pivotal factor influencing their financial commitment. The primary focus now revolves around the nationwide rollout of their services in the United States. The team convened a summit in Washington, D.C., featuring prominent policy makers and leaders in the fintech sector to explore opportunities for underserved and underbanked populations. Altro's achievements were acknowledged when it was awarded the Bronze Stevie Award for Company of the Year in Financial Services.
